Australian journalist Georgie Gardner has been an Ambassador since 2016. She travelled to Uganda to film some stories with her daughter Bronte.
Georgie has been an integral part of School for Life Foundation and has brought love and inspiration as a host at our annual Black Tie Gala Ball and women’s fundraisers in Sydney. We are very grateful for Georgie’s dedication and her ongoing promotion of our projects in rural Uganda.

Professor Joyce Kikafunda, a Professor of Food Science and Nutrition at Makerere University, Kampala Uganda, was working as Ambassador (High Commissioner) of Uganda to UK and Ireland has been transferred and now works as Ambassador (High Commissioner) of Uganda to Australia and New Zealand.
She quotes “It is always said that educating a women is educating a whole community - the whole Nation - it is very true. Investing in the education of the girl child is very important because it gives them the foundation to do any job they wish when they are adults: being a Teacher, a Musician, an Actress, an Engineer, a Doctor or a Professor and Ambassador like me.”
In 2010, Rachel began as a cleaner at Katuuso Primary and Vocational School. She was working to save money to study to be a teacher at University. Thanks to Barrie and Simone Goldsmith, her dream of studying came true and she is now fully qualified.
