”It was a real privilege to visit SFL Uganda and see the truly amazing work that has been accomplished and the possibilities of its future reach. The Foundation’s educational and community projects delivered with a ‘hand-up’ rather than ‘hand-out’ approach, empowering the local communities, certainly seems to be working beautifully.”
— Travel4Good Visitor, 2024
Where to begin... A much wished for and anticipated visit. What has been achieved by SFL thus far and what they have planned for the future, astounds me. I have nothing but admiration and respect for how SFL managed the purchasing of land, the building of the schools, the wonderful teachers and support staff they employ and the end goal, educating the kids! It is beyond belief. My lived experience whilst grounding and humbling, was also joyous. These kids have the opportunity of an education in a safe environment, where they are nourished in both body, mind and spirit.
