Girls like Cissy are still told they don't belong in school — that their place is the kitchen, not the classroom, and their worth begins and ends with hardship. She grew up in a home without clean water, electricity or safety, with a father who believed girls had no value, and when her mother finally fled years of violence, Cissy followed. That one decision changed everything, because it was the decision that led her through the gates at School for Life. There she found safety, she found structure, and she found something she had never seen before: women leading, girls learning, futures unfolding. She studied hard and began to dream, and in 2024 she graduated high school — now the first in her family to go to university.
