Through their establishment and operation of the Generations Foundation, private equity and advisory firm Liverpool Partners have long been dedicated to building brighter futures for children in developing and disadvantaged communities by providing them with educational opportunities.

However, perhaps their most generous deed yet was in December 2017, when the Generations Foundation made the life-changing decision to sponsor an entire class of School for Life students at Mbazzi Primary School – an incredible commitment which they have so generously continued to uphold for the next three years and more.

The 40 lucky students were in Early Childhood Development class at Mbazzi Primary School when they were first sponsored by Liverpool Partners, and thanks to the generosity of the firm, the entire class are now thriving as Primary 1 students at Mbazzi School.

Liverpool Partners’ support has not only provided these students with an education for 3 years, but has ensured they have access to clean water, health care, 3 nutritious meals a day and the ability to take part in extra-curricular activities like dancing, music, drama and sports days.

It is a gift that has truly changed these children’s lives - giving them the chance to seek the bright future they deserve.

In January this year, a group of 11 wonderful Liverpool Partners team members got to see for themselves the incredible difference they had made in our students’ lives when they travelled all the way into the heart of rural Uganda to our School for Life campuses to meet their sponsor students.

Landing at Entebbe International Airport on the 25th of January, the team enjoyed a fascinating day exploring the vibrant sights of Uganda’s capital, Kampala, before spending the next two unforgettable days immersing themselves in life at the Katuuso and Mbazzi communities, where our School for Life campuses are located.

The team spent much of their time here at our Mbazzi and Katuuso Primary Schools, where they enjoyed helping our teachers enrol our newest students into School for Life for the new school year, and had plenty of fun playing sports and making beautiful crafts with our students.

The fantastic Liverpool Partners team were so helpful getting our newest School for Life students enrolled and kitted out with their new uniforms to start their first year at our schools.

The team also got the chance to visit some of our wonderful students’ homes at Katuuso and Mbazzi villages, gaining a unique insight into what everyday life is like for them.

Most exciting of all, however, the team finally got to meet the School for Life students they have been sponsoring for the past three years! They had a ball talking and playing with their sponsor students in Primary 1 at Mbazzi Primary School - an experience they found truly moving and showed them the incredible impact they have had on these 40 special children’s lives.

School for Life would like to express our sincere gratitude to Liverpool Partners and the Generations Foundation for the incredible and sustained generosity that they have extended to our students.  We cannot thank you enough for providing these 40 special students with the never-ending gift of education, and the resources and support they need to access it.

We would also like to especially thank the firm’s team that travelled so far to meet their students – our students and staff had an absolutely wonderful time with you, and they are hoping you can come visit again soon!
